Dan grew up in New Zealand working in factories, rock'n'rolling at the local dance club in the weekends and cutting his teeth at no-budget tv stations before growing his wings and travelling around the world for the last 11 years.  During this time he’s spent a year road trippin' through America in a 1969 camper van and three months through Europe in a beat up 80’s bus. He’s  spent a year surfing in Mexico, backpacked through West Africa, climbed Mt.  Kilimanjaro and lived up near the North Pole where there's more polar bears than people. He’s road tripped through Jordan and camped out in Wadi Rum Desert with the Bedouins and shot a documentary in the bush in South Africa where elephants would eat trees outside his thin-walled canvas tent in the middle of the night. He recently spent a summer in a tent in Patagonia, Argentina learning to ride a horse on a 100,000 acre ranch. He has a degree in Anthropology and Ethnomusicology and a keen interest in learning from different cultures around the world.
